At the end of season one, Penelope Featherington’s secret identity was revealed as the prolific scandalous newspaper publisher Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews) ‘s secret identity. While we as viewers get to be a part of it, only a handful of people on the show know about it, and by the end of season two, one of those people is unfortunately now her best friend Eloise Bridgerton (Claudie Ya Jesse).

It’s time for ‘Bridgerton’ to be gay
When Héloïse is about to make a false confession with a forged society newspaper, Penelope takes matters into her own hands, delivering a scathing swipe at her best friend’s visit to Theo – “Unaccompanied, with the unaccompanied A legitimate companion, in fact a political activist”—to refute Héloïse’s guilt. The pamphlet calmed the queen’s anger but also destroyed Héloïse’s society. It can be said that her romance with Theo also fell apart.

However, in the season two finale, when Penelope showed off her keen powers of observation at the Featherington Ball, Eloise discovered her friend’s secret identity. This is one of the most important moments bridgeton Season 2 was a big deal for season 3, and honestly, we’re still shocked. Penelope has long longed for the affection of her friend Colin, though she’s remained firmly within the Regency group of friends – including Colin’s relationship with Marina Thompson (Ruby) in season one. Buck) is engaged.
After returning from Greece, Colin strolls through Season 2 with a sudden mellow energy and “I just got back from a gap year” energy. Although he often danced with Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen), he sent mixed signals to Penelope, praising her “steadfast and loyal” personality throughout the season. Penelope had high hopes for the Featherington Ball, and when Colin asked Payne to dance, he said some big words: “I will always look after you, Penelope. You are special to me.” ”
Popular stories that can be mixed and matched
However, after a fight with Eloise, Penelope stumbles upon Colin talking about his dancing to a group of young men on the terrace. When they asked him about his intentions for Pan, he scoffed, “Are you crazy? I would never dream of wooing Penelope Featherington. Not in your wildest dreams.”
No! no no. No. We’re crushed together with Pen in this scene, which is where season three picks up. Maybe, if there’s forgiveness elsewhere on the horizon, we can still hope for a Peneroyce romance?
