Seven individuals have been killed when a ferry terminal collapsed on Sapelo Island, Georgia, on Saturday.
At the least 20 individuals have been reportedly on the pier when it collapsed, and a crowd had gathered to have fun the Gullah-Geechee neighborhood, which is made up of descendants of black slaves.
A number of individuals have been taken to close by hospitals. Their standing is unclear.
Sapelo Island is situated roughly 60 miles south of Savannah.
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp prayed for the victims.

A partial collapse of a ferry terminal on Sapelo Island, Georgia, on Saturday killed at the least seven individuals, authorities stated.

Jones stated a gangway on the pier collapsed, inflicting individuals to leap into the water. The incident occurred as crowds gathered on the island to have fun the Gullah Geechee neighborhood, which is descended from black slaves on the island.
