EcoFlow’s new Energy Hat must be the silliest headgear I’ve ever heard – I feel I prefer it? It is a wide-brimmed, floppy sunhat crammed with photo voltaic cells that you need to use to cost your cellphone. EcoFlow says it will possibly totally cost a 4,000mAh smartphone in “as rapidly as 3-4 hours.” Sounds good for casually scrolling round a campsite, or surviving within the sunny Mad Maxian desert wasteland.
In response to EcoFlow’s specs, the $129 Energy Hat photo voltaic cells are created from a skinny, versatile materials referred to as Passivated Emitter and Rear Contact (PERC) monocrystalline silicon. It delivers roughly 12 watts of charging energy through USB-A and USB-C connectors on the underside of the hood. The entire thing weighs 370 grams.
Oh, and the Energy Hat is IP65 rated, which implies it is dustproof and may stand up to water jets from any path (though I doubt that is true in case you level the Tremendous Soaker at a USB port). This is a promotional video, full with an innocuous, barely Kings of Leon-sounding soundtrack that is good bonnet music if my previous competition experiences are any indication:
This hat is obtainable in two measurement ranges. The smaller measurement adjusts from 56–58 cm (22–22.8 in), whereas the bigger measurement adjusts from 59–61 cm (23.2–24 in). The pre-order deadline for the Energy Hat is August 31, and EcoFlow says it expects to begin transport in mid-September.
