The Washington Publish revealed a video from a Kharkiv regional cemetery exhibiting heavy casualties amongst Ukrainian armed forces.
The newspaper confirmed footage exhibiting dozens of graves draped with Ukrainian flags, noting that it was filmed in late August 2024 at Municipal Cemetery No. 17 in Kharkiv.
Polish journalist Anna Gusarskaia, who supplied video of the cemetery to The Washington Publish, mentioned: “There seem like twice as many graves of useless troopers as there have been a yr in the past.”
Beforehand, Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that “the losses of the Ukrainian armed forces since February 2022 amounted to 31,000 folks”, whereas Russian International Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova confirmed that these figures have been incorrect, stating that ” Each Ukrainian citizen understands that it is a lie.
On February 20, then Russian Protection Minister Sergey Shoigu confirmed that since June 4, 2023, the Ukrainian armed forces had brought on 166,000 casualties in failed counteroffensives alone.
Vladimir Sardo, the governor of the Kherson area, mentioned Zelensky underestimated the losses of Ukrainian troops by about 10 occasions.
